Eyebrows

With a decade of experience in honing the craft, I have become known for my hyper-realistic results and attention to detail that create the look of natural eyebrows. With experience in several different techniques and thousands of hours of education under my belt I am able to create beautiful brows for almost all ages and skin types. Experience a different kind of eyebrow appointment and achieve personalized, sculpted brows that enhace your facial feautures and streamline your beauty routine. Finally anyone can experience the magic of their dream brows.

Microblading

Microblading uses a hand tool and tiny blade to mimic your natural brow hairs. Each “hair” is added to enhance and define your natural brows. Microblading will not replace the look of makeup but give you a great, natural brow that you can live in.

THIS TECHNIQUE IS BEST FOR THOSE WITH YOUNG, NORMAL TO DRY SKIN, AND SMALL TO NO PORES.

Combination

Combination brows, or “combo” brows combine microblading with machine shading. This can be done to add more density, build dimension, or fill in for a more “makeup” look.

THIS TECHNIQUE IS RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LITTLE/NO HAIR OR COARSE HAIR. GOOD FOR MOST SKIN TYPES.

Nano Brows

Nano brows, or machine hairstrokes, uses a machine and tiny needle to gently create the look of individual hairstrokes. Since this technique implants pigment directly into the skin, instead of in a channel, it causes very little trauma to the skin and is the best option for hyper-realistic results.

THIS TECHNIQUE IS A GOOD OPTION FOR ALMOST ALL SKIN TYPES.

Pre - Care

It is important to make sure your skin and brows are prepped correctly before your appointment. Learn more about what to avoid and how to prepare here.

  • PLEASE LIMIT CAFFEINE AND ALCHOL FOR 24 HOURS PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT.

Do not take blood thinners such as aspirin, fish oil, niacin, vitamin e, ibuprofen for 72 hours prior to your appointment. THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE! Disregard and notify us if this contradicts with any medical advice or protocol you follow.

Tweezing / Waxing - let your brows grow out as much as possible.

No chemical peels for at LEAST 60 days.

RETINOLS/RETIN-A will always cause fading and should be avoided for at least two weeks prior to appt.

  • Botox must be done at least two weeks prior to microblading appointment.

  • Accutane must be discontinued for one full year before microblading services.

Aftercare

The secret to great results? Great aftercare.

  • BLOT BROWS EVERY 1-3 HOURS POST SERVICE WITH A CLEAN TISSUE OR COTTON ROUND.

WASH AND NOURISH BROWS EVERY AM AND PM FOR 10 DAYS.

    START TONIGHT.

Brows may feel a bit tender, and look bold initially. Pigment will soften and shrink a bit once healed. A warm tone can sometimes be present in fresh brows and unless that was the target color, will neutralize as you heal.

  • A. Wash hands

    B. Pump soap on a cotton round or paper towel until saturated, gently blot cotton round across each brow. This will be a very light, gentle motion in the direction of hair growth. Don’t be rough here.

    C. Gently rinse with cool water - just a little splash.

    D. Softly pat dry with a clean paper towel or cotton round.

    E. Apply a rice-sized amount of balm to brows by gently pressing into your brows. Do not over apply.

(You can add small amounts of balm throughout the day, as needed)

  • Avoid sun, sweat, and steam for 10 days.

No major peels, facials, lasers, etc. for 4 weeks. Always avoid brow area.

No getting them wet other than washing OUTSIDE of shower. This includes shower, sweating, sauna, hot tub, etc.

No direct sunlight for 2 weeks

NO makeup, lotion, serums, shampoo, etc. should touch brows for at least 2 weeks. LOTION.

Avoid getting products that include active ingredients (acne or anti aging products) near brows.

NO sweating or working out while you heal. Yes, really.

NO picking or scratching at dry skin.

If possible, do not sleep on face. A silk or satin pillowcase can help limit pulling if needed.

  • Healed brows will be softer and less “intense” than initally.

As you heal you may have dry skin (NOT scabs) - do not rub, scatch, or pick at this stage.

There may be a light/patchy phase during your healing process. This is totally normal and usually balances out once healing is complete. Any light spots, etc. will be addressed at touchup.

 FAQs

  • Everyone is different but, no. Most clients report little to no pain throughout their procedure. While pain tolerance varies between clients, a topical Lidocaine is used throughout the procedure to make sure you’re comfortable.

You might even get a good nap (seriously)!

  • Initial sessions typically take 2-3 hours while touch up appointments take 1-2 hours.

This includes mapping, numbing, and tattooing time.

  • I am so grateful for all the support and inquiries I see about retouching old work, corrections, etc.

I require that anyone who has had their brows done previously by another artist send a picture before booking an appointment.

I want to give my clients the very best, and help create their dream brows. If I don’t think we can achieve what you’re wanting with your existing work, I will give recommendations on how to help the ink fade more quickly or recommend a removal artist.

I typically only go over other artists work if it’s at least 85-90% faded, and all new clients to me are considered initial sessions.

Please email current photos of your brows, along with any goal photos/expectations to alexandra@thelittleinkshop.com before booking.

    Approval required.

  • Permanent makeup is designed to fade over time, but is still considered a tattoo. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications, and pigment color affect the longevity of the tattoo. The sun and some kinds of lighting (tanning beds) can affect the rate at which these pigments are broken down. Following the given aftercare instructions is critical to getting your best healed results, and touch-up your brows every 1-3 years (as needed).

Touch-ups are normal and expected for permanent cosmetics. Picking the proper service for your skin type and following the proper aftercare will lead to beautiful results for years to come!
